Melina was born into a family where the oral transmission of traditional music holds a central place. Of Greek origin, she carries this heritage through her voice, rich in melismatic ornamentation and emotional depth.
She trained extensively in singing and oud at the Conservatory of Oriental Music in Gennevilliers, and continued studying traditional music in Greece.
After this period of research and learning, Melina launched her own musical project: a poetic, urban, and magical universe, where traditional music blends with pop influences. She surrounds herself with virtuoso musicians to bring to life a unique, sensitive, and powerful aesthetic.
Her debut EP, Melina, was released this year.
